This Themis image provides a beautiful example of crater ejecta. Note the radial "spokes" on the top of the ejecta blanket surrounding the crater. These surface features ("spokes and ejecta blanket) are formed during the ballistic emplacement of ejecta and other materials as they were thrown out of the crater due to the force of the impact.
