Within this Themis VIS image one is first drawn to the magnificent hill like features, many of which show layering near their base. These isolated hills are called inselbergs. If you look closely you can make out aprons of material around the inselbergs which probably shed off the hills by various processes of erosion. Or you might see a bicycle chain link, which is why this image was initially released as an Art image.
